The Youth Ministry has special events planned for each week in December.
1st Sunday: Hope/ Faith
We light this candle with the intention that it will transform the darkness. It is the belief that it is possible to move out of darkness that prepares us for the illuminating birth of Christ within ourselves.
Activity: In class we will be making our own Advent wreaths to take home and bring the advent spirit into our lives.
2nd Sunday: Peace
We light this candle not only for peace but for wholeness and oneness.
Activity: In class we light our candle of peace and we will be making Angels to bring home, as well as sharing stories of peace around the world.
3rd Sunday: Love
We will light this candle with the understanding that we are love and that we must extend love to all the world.
Activity: We will be making a Nativity scene, singing carols and talking about what unconditional love is and looks like.
4th Sunday: Joy
We will light this candle in joy of the brilliant light of inner illumination which moves us beyond hope to a deep inner knowing.
Activity: In class we will be making Luminarias and cookies for Santa.
